In this session, we’ll describe the process and content of an elementary artificial intelligence curriculum designed through a partnership of researchers and elementary teachers. Drawing from interviews with fourth-grade students, researchers and teachers worked together to identify the necessary AI constructs that were grade level appropriate for upper elementary students, then developed unplugged and plugged activities to address those concepts in ways that connected AI education to existing curriculum units (literacy, science, math, etc.).
